Our take on LaSara Medical Group
LaSara prices its GLP-1s in the open. Compounded semaglutide is $289 a month on the monthly subscription, and a one-month plan without the subscription costs a little more. Compounded tirzepatide follows the same pattern at $379 a month. There's no membership on top, so the subscription figure is the real monthly cost as far as its pages go. The product pages don't say whether that price holds at every dose, though, and they describe starting low and moving up under a physician's guidance. Ask whether month four costs what month one does.
Longer plans lower the monthly equivalent. LaSara sells 3-, 6- and 12-month plans for both drugs, and the 12-month plan brings the monthly equivalent down the most. The catch is that you pay for the whole plan up front. If you stop early, or your prescriber changes your medicine, LaSara's pages don't say what happens to the months you've paid for. Its product pages say you can cancel or pause anytime, but its terms are generic website text with no cancellation or refund section. Get the refund rule in writing before you prepay, and see the compounded semaglutide cost guide for how the subscription rate compares.
Care starts with a free consultation, and LaSara says a physician reviews your health history, medications and goals before anything is prescribed. It was founded in California in 2017 and offers in-person treatment in Orange County alongside telehealth it says is offered nationally. It doesn't publish a list of states, doesn't name its physicians, and doesn't say how often follow-ups happen. LaSara says it works only with LegitScript-certified compounding pharmacies, but no pharmacy is named on its product, about, terms or privacy pages.
One page needs a second look. LaSara's About page still shows an older pricing table, with a lower semaglutide starting figure and membership and initiation fees in some columns, which doesn't match the product pages. The product page is where you buy, so treat its price as current and ask the care team if you see the older figures. The weight-loss results on its pages, such as pounds lost in three months, are LaSara's own patient claims, not a published study.
LaSara also prescribes testosterone, sermorelin, NAD+ and other treatments, which may suit you if you want one clinic for several goals. For GLP-1s alone, compare it on the compounded semaglutide lineup, check the compounded tirzepatide guide if you're weighing the two drugs, and read whether compounded semaglutide is safe.
What LaSara Medical Group costs
| Product | Real monthly cost | |
|---|---|---|
| Compounded semaglutideInjection | $289/mo | $289/mo |
| Compounded tirzepatideInjection | $379/mo | $379/mo |
Prices are taken from LaSara Medical Group's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.
Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like
Book a free consultation
Book a free telehealth consultation, or start at checkout with the plan you want. Prices are on the product page.
A physician reviews your history
A LaSara physician reviews your health history, current medications and goals, and prescribes only if it fits.
A certified pharmacy compounds it
Your semaglutide or tirzepatide comes from a LegitScript-certified compounding pharmacy that LaSara doesn't name.
Shipped monthly on subscription
Medication ships free to your door. The monthly subscription renews until you cancel or pause, and longer plans are paid up front.
Who prescribes, and the pharmacy
LaSara says its licensed physicians review your history and prescribe after a telehealth consultation, but it doesn't name them or say which states they're licensed in. It says it partners only with LegitScript-certified compounding pharmacies; no pharmacy is named on its product, about, terms or privacy pages.

- ResearchDoes compounded semaglutide work as well as Wegovy?
The molecule has strong trial evidence behind it. A compounded vial borrows that evidence only if it holds the same molecule at the strength on its label.
- Drug guideSemaglutide: how it works and the products that contain it
Semaglutide copies GLP-1, a hormone your gut releases after eating. It raises insulin only when blood sugar is high, lowers glucagon, slows stomach emptying and reduces appetite through the brain. That is why it lowers blood sugar and body weight. It is sold as Ozempic and Rybelsus for diabetes and as Wegovy for weight.
- Side by sideIs compounded semaglutide the same as Ozempic? Not as a product
The name on the vial is the same molecule. Almost everything else differs: who checks it, what else is in it, how it's dosed and what evidence stands behind it. Here is each difference, with current prices for both.
- ResearchAlcohol on a GLP-1: what the labels say, and what they don't
None of the GLP-1 labels tells you whether you can drink. Several of their warnings still overlap with alcohol, and metformin's label is far more direct. Here's what each one says.
