Our take on Gala GLP-1

Gala GLP-1 prices compounded tirzepatide at $299 a month and compounded semaglutide at $249 on its monthly plan. That's the figure at checkout, and it's higher than the one on the homepage. The smaller number Gala advertises is a yearly-subscription rate, and its FAQ quotes a second figure for the three-month plan. Both take more money up front. The part that works in your favor is dose. Gala says a higher dose comes at no additional cost, so month six on a maintenance dose costs what month one did. If you plan to stay on treatment for a year or more, that flat price ages well. The compounded tirzepatide guide covers what the drug is.

Do the arithmetic on the yearly plan before you pick it. At checkout, the total Gala bills for twelve months of tirzepatide divides out higher per month than the monthly figure printed next to it. The same is true for semaglutide. Checkout also runs a countdown timer and a "discounts left" counter. Neither changes the price, so take your time.

Care comes from licensed clinicians at independently owned practices, including OpenLoop-affiliated medical groups. Depending on your state and medication, the first visit is a video call or an online review. Follow-ups, dose changes and questions run through the Gala app's chat, which also logs doses and sends refill reminders. Gala serves all 50 states. It says its compounded drugs come from licensed compounding pharmacies, but it doesn't name them.

Brand Ozempic is on the menu at $1,299 a month cash, which suits few readers next to the compounded plans. Gala also lists a Wegovy pill as coming soon, with no price yet. To see how Gala compares, the compounded tirzepatide lineup sorts every program by Healthspan Score, and the compounded semaglutide lineup does the same for semaglutide.

Prices are taken from Gala GLP-1's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like

  1. Take the online assessment

A health questionnaire of about five minutes matches you to a medication and a plan length.

  2. Pay, then a provider reviews

You're charged at checkout for the first period. A licensed provider reviews you by video or online, and you get a full refund if you're not prescribed.

  3. A partner pharmacy ships

A licensed compounding pharmacy Gala works with fills the prescription and ships it free.

  4. Follow-ups in the app

Dose changes, refill reminders and questions run through the Gala app, with a care team available seven days a week.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

Licensed physicians and clinicians at independently owned practices, including OpenLoop-affiliated medical groups, prescribe through Gala. The first visit is a video call or an online review, depending on your state and medication. Gala says its compounded drugs come from licensed compounding pharmacies in a nationwide network, but its terms, privacy policy and refund policy don't name a pharmacy.

Where Gala GLP-1 does well

  • Gala says a higher dose costs nothing extra, so the monthly price holds as your dose rises.
  • Video visits, the app, coaching and shipping are inside the price, with no membership fee.
  • Serves all 50 states, with a video or online first visit depending on your state.
  • The app logs doses, counts down to your next shot and sends refill reminders.
  • FSA and HSA cards are accepted for compounded GLP-1s.

What to check first

  • The advertised price is a yearly-plan rate. Compare it with the month-to-month price at checkout first.
  • The yearly total divides out higher per month than the figure printed beside it. Divide it yourself.
  • Cancel at least 72 hours before billing, or the next cycle is charged. Set a reminder.
  • No refunds on cancellation unless a provider turns you down. Start on the monthly plan if unsure.
  • Gala doesn't name its compounding pharmacies. Ask which one fills your order before you start.

It fits you if

You want a named pharmacy, refunds after you cancel, or a low monthly price without committing to a long plan.
