Our take on Embody

Embody sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide on plans that run in four-week cycles, not calendar months. Billed every four weeks, that's 13 charges a year, so the shortest semaglutide plan works out to about $86 a calendar month by our math and tirzepatide about $140. The FAQ says the price doesn't rise when your dose changes within the same medication; it changes only if you switch plans or add a drug. Longer 12-, 24- and 52-week plans cost less per cycle but are paid up front. The compounded semaglutide cost guide explains why four-week billing quietly adds a payment each year.

Read the price label carefully. Every page carries a pre-Black Friday sale banner, and the product pages show the price as a sale price next to a far higher regular price. Nothing on the site says when the sale ends or what the price becomes after it, while the FAQ promises the price stays the same as long as you stay on the same medication and plan. Lock in your plan and confirm the renewal price at checkout before you pay.

The refund policy is the strictest part. All payments are final and non-refundable the moment you pay, including single-cycle, multi-month and bundled plans, and even if you never finish the intake. The only refund comes if a provider decides you aren't clinically eligible, and then the value of services already given is deducted. You can cancel any time from the portal or by email or phone, but the request must arrive at least 72 hours before your next billing date, and it only stops future charges.

The care and pharmacy details are unusually open. Clinicians come from OpenLoop Health, a network of US-licensed doctors, who review your intake and set up a brief virtual appointment only if they need more information. The footer names four partner pharmacies with their addresses: Red Rock Compounding Pharmacy in Utah, Health Warehouse in Kentucky, Precision Medicine in New York and Triad Rx in Alabama, described as state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. The GLP-1 intake doesn't accept Louisiana. See how it ranks on the compounded semaglutide lineup.

What Embody costs

Embody prices by product · Billing: Every 4 weeks
ProductReal monthly cost
Compounded semaglutideInjection$86/mo$79 every 4 weeks
Compounded tirzepatideInjection$140/mo$129 every 4 weeks

Prices are taken from Embody's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like

  1. Answer the online intake

A short assessment, which the company says takes under two minutes, checks your eligibility. You pick a 4-, 12-, 24- or 52-week plan and pay.

  2. An OpenLoop clinician reviews it

A US-licensed doctor from OpenLoop Health reviews your answers and schedules a brief virtual appointment only if more information is needed.

  3. A partner pharmacy fills it

Your prescription goes to one of four named 503A partner pharmacies in Utah, Kentucky, New York or Alabama.

  4. Free shipping, 4-week renewals

Medication ships free and expedited. Plans renew every cycle until you cancel at least 72 hours before billing.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

Clinicians from OpenLoop Health, a network of US-licensed doctors, review your intake and add a brief virtual appointment when needed. Embody names its partner pharmacies, described as state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies: Red Rock Compounding Pharmacy in St. George, Utah; Health Warehouse in Florence, Kentucky; Precision Medicine in Bellmore, New York; and Triad Rx in Daphne, Alabama.

Where Embody does well

  • The price doesn't rise when your dose changes within the same medication and plan, per the FAQ.
  • Names four partner 503A pharmacies, with street addresses, on every page.
  • Clinicians come from OpenLoop Health, a named network of US-licensed doctors.
  • No membership fee, free expedited shipping, and HSA or FSA cards accepted.
  • Already on a GLP-1? You can transfer with proof of your prescription and keep your current dose if approved.

What to check first

  • Plans bill every four weeks, 13 times a year. Budget for the 13th charge, not 12 monthly ones.
  • The price is shown as a pre-Black Friday sale with no end date. Confirm the renewal price at checkout.
  • Every payment is final, even if you never finish the intake. Be sure before you pay.
  • Cancel at least 72 hours before your next billing date, or you'll be charged for another cycle.
  • Longer plans are cheaper per cycle but can't be refunded in part. Start with the 4-week plan.

It fits you if

You're sure you want a compounded GLP-1, you like a price that holds at every dose, and you want the pharmacies and the doctor network named before you start.

Look elsewhere if

You want room to change your mind after paying, calendar-month billing, or a price that isn't shown as a time-limited sale. Louisiana residents can't use the GLP-1 program.
