Chia review

The short answer: Chia's month-to-month compounded semaglutide is $349 a month. The lower "starting from" figure is a 6-month plan, and leaving that plan early refunds little.

Our take on Chia

Chia's compounded semaglutide costs $349 a month on the month-to-month plan, and compounded tirzepatide costs $399. Those are the struck-through figures on its product pages. The lower "starting from" number beside them is the 6-month committed rate, and the 3- and 4-month plans sit in between. The plan price includes clinician visits, unlimited video calls and free shipping, with no membership on top. Your physician sets and adjusts the dose. The compounded semaglutide guide explains how it differs from Wegovy.

Read the committed-plan rules before you take the discount. A 3-, 4- or 6-month plan is prepaid, and if you cancel after the first shipment, Chia refunds what you paid minus every month received at the full month-to-month rate. After a month or two, that can leave little or nothing to refund. Committed plans also renew for the same length unless you cancel at least five days before the renewal date. The 30-day money-back guarantee is narrow too: first-time weight-loss customers on month-to-month plans only, with records showing you followed the plan.

Tirzepatide also comes as a tablet at $349 a month, month to month, less than the injection. It's a compounded tablet, not an FDA-approved pill, and Chia's own page says it's absorbed less well than the shot. The semaglutide page mentions an under-the-tongue tablet as well; your physician picks the format. The GLP-1 pill lineup compares the tablet route with other programs.

On who's behind the care, Chia says less than it could. Treatment comes from US-licensed clinicians at affiliated medical practices that it doesn't name, and it says state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies prepare its medications. Its provider-licensure page lists two nurse practitioners licensed in three states, and some of the license expiry dates printed there have passed. There's no published list of states served; the quiz asks your state before showing options. If you don't qualify, you aren't charged, or a full refund comes within 24 to 48 hours.

Prices are taken from Chia's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like

  1. Take the two-minute quiz

Answer questions on your goals and health, and pick your state so Chia shows what can be prescribed there.

  2. Choose a plan and check out

The plan builder shows 1-, 3-, 4- and 6-month prices before you pay. You aren't charged if you're found ineligible.

  3. A clinician reviews it

A US-licensed clinician reviews your intake, usually within 24 hours, with video calls available whenever you need one.

  4. A 503A pharmacy ships it

A state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy prepares the order and ships it free in discreet packaging.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

Prescriptions come from US-licensed clinicians at affiliated medical practices that Chia doesn't name; its provider-licensure page lists two nurse practitioners, licensed in Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island. Review is written by default, with unlimited video calls included. Chia says state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies prepare its drugs, but its terms, privacy, refund and licensure pages don't name a pharmacy.

Where Chia does well

  • Plans include unlimited video calls with clinicians and free shipping, with no membership fee.
  • Month-to-month prices sit right on the product pages, beside the longer-plan rates.
  • Tirzepatide comes as a lower-priced tablet as well as a weekly injection.
  • If a clinician finds you aren't eligible, you aren't charged, or you're refunded within 48 hours.
  • Its refund policy spells out the committed-plan math with a worked example.

What to check first

  • The "starting from" price is the 6-month plan. Compare on the month-to-month price instead.
  • Leave a committed plan early and each month used is charged at the full rate. Start month to month.
  • Committed plans renew for the same length unless canceled five days ahead. Set a reminder.
  • Some clinician licenses on its licensure page show passed expiry dates. Ask who will treat you in your state.
  • No named pharmacy, medical practice or state list. Ask support before you share your history.

It fits you if

You want compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide with unlimited video visits, or a tirzepatide tablet, and you're willing to pay month to month.

Look elsewhere if

You want a named medical group, a published state list, or a long plan you can leave without losing most of the prepayment.
