Our take on Nova

Nova splits its bill into two parts and shows both. A Nova Care membership covers provider review, messaging, monitoring, dose adjustments and free shipping, and the medication is billed with each order. The program pages add the two together, so compounded semaglutide injections start at $152 a month all-in and tirzepatide at $167. Those are starting figures. Each card says the final cost depends on the dose your provider prescribes, so expect the total to climb as you titrate up. The compounded semaglutide guide explains what the drug is.

The needle-free options are cheaper to start. A daily semaglutide microdose that dissolves under the tongue starts at $127 a month all-in, and a daily tirzepatide microdose at $127. They're lower-dose products, and Nova's own FAQ describes the injection as the stronger, faster-titrating format. Some of the FAQ's price examples also don't match the price cards on the same pages, including the starting medication price for semaglutide injections. Go by the card and the total shown before you pay, and ask support if the two differ.

The biggest limit is geography. Nova currently serves only Texas and Florida, and its refund policy says that if you pay but turn out to be outside those states before any clinical review, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days. Inside them, the process is asynchronous: you complete an online assessment, a provider licensed in your state reviews it with no appointment needed, and you're charged only if you're prescribed. There's no consultation fee. Nova says licensed 503A compounding pharmacies prepare its compounded medications.

Refunds follow a common pattern. Membership fees are generally non-refundable once the clinical review is complete, and medication can't be returned once it's compounded or shipped. If you cancel in writing before the pharmacy starts compounding, you get the medication cost back. You can cancel the membership from your account any time with no penalty. If you live outside Texas or Florida, the compounded semaglutide lineup lists programs that serve more states.

Prices are taken from Nova's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

  2. A licensed provider reviews it

A provider licensed in Texas or Florida reviews your answers asynchronously, with no appointment needed.

  3. 503A pharmacy prepares it

A licensed 503A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication your provider prescribes.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

Prescriptions come from independent providers licensed in Texas or Florida, who review your assessment asynchronously; no medical group is named. Nova says licensed 503A compounding pharmacies prepare its compounded treatments, but its terms, refund policy and FAQ don't name the pharmacy.

Where Nova does well

  • Shows the membership and the medication price separately, and adds them up for you on each program card.
  • No consultation fee, and you're charged only if a provider prescribes.
  • Daily under-the-tongue semaglutide and tirzepatide microdoses for people who'd rather not inject.
  • Dose adjustments, refills and messaging are covered by the membership, with free refrigerated shipping.
  • Full refund of the medication cost if you cancel in writing before compounding starts.

What to check first

  • Serves only Texas and Florida. Check that you'll be in one of those states before you start.
  • Prices are starting figures that rise with your dose. Ask what the maintenance dose will cost.
  • Some FAQ price examples don't match the price cards. Confirm the total on the screen before you pay.
  • Membership fees aren't refunded once a provider has reviewed you. Decide before the review is done.
  • No pharmacy or medical group is named. Ask support which 503A pharmacy fills your order.

It fits you if

You live in Texas or Florida and want a compounded GLP-1 with the care membership folded into one clear monthly figure, or a daily microdose instead of a shot.

Look elsewhere if

You live outside Texas or Florida, want one price at every dose, or want to know which pharmacy fills your prescription.
