MEDVi review
The short answer: MEDVi locks compounded semaglutide refills at $299 a month after a cheaper first month, with no membership. Budget for the refill price, not the sale figure.

Our take on MEDVi
MEDVi advertises its sale price loudly, but the number to plan around is the refill. Compounded semaglutide is $179 for the first month, and refills are locked in at $299 a month after that, with no contract. That price covers the clinician review, a personalized plan, one-on-one guidance, a metabolic report, the medication and shipping, and there's no membership on top. Over a year, eleven refills at the locked price are most of what you'll pay, so the first-month discount matters less than it looks.
Compounded tirzepatide follows the same pattern: $279 for the first month, then $399 a month, paid one month at a time. MEDVi says that medication price doesn't go up when your dose does, which makes month six cost what month two did. If you'd rather not inject, a daily dissolvable semaglutide tablet costs $369 a month after its own first-month price, because the tablet adds a surcharge to the injection price. The compounded semaglutide cost guide shows where these refill prices sit in the wider market.
Brand-name drugs are on the homepage too: the Wegovy pill, Wegovy injections and Zepbound, each listed as a monthly membership plus the medication cost. The medication part isn't priced anywhere on the site, so you can't work out a monthly total before you sign up. If a brand drug is what you want, ask for the full figure before you pay the membership.
Care comes through OpenLoop Health, a network of US-licensed clinicians, with medical treatment provided by CareGLP-affiliated medical practices. You take the online assessment, pay at checkout, and a clinician then meets with you to decide whether to prescribe. Messaging and support run around the clock, and the homepage offers dietitian visits and care coaching, with a footnote tying them to insurance eligibility. MEDVi names three partner pharmacies on its site: Triad Rx in Alabama, RedRock Pharmacy in Utah and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding in Texas. It also says plainly that its compounded GLP-1s aren't FDA-approved. FDA's letter to MEDVi, which questioned how its website presented these drugs, appears on this page. Prices are taken from MEDVi's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.
Other available treatments with a monthly total to confirm: Wegovy (tablet), Wegovy (injection), Zepbound (injection).
Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

Semaglutide copies GLP-1, a hormone your gut releases after eating. It raises insulin only when blood sugar is high, lowers glucagon, slows stomach emptying and reduces appetite through the brain. That is why it lowers blood sugar and body weight. It is sold as Ozempic and Rybelsus for diabetes and as Wegovy for weight.
