Our take on PlexusDx
PlexusDx charges $189 a month for compounded tirzepatide and $149 for compounded semaglutide on its one-month plan. That figure covers the provider, the prescription, the medication and shipping, and there's no membership fee on top. The line PlexusDx repeats on every product page is the useful one: your dose may need to go up, but your price won't. So month four on a higher dose costs what month one did, which matters if you expect to stay on treatment past the first few months. The compounded tirzepatide guide explains what the drug is.
The "starts at" figure on each card is the 12-month rate, charged once up front. Three- and six-month plans sit in between, and each is also paid in one charge at the start. All three renew automatically for the same term at the same price, so a 12-month plan becomes another 12-month charge unless you cancel future renewals in the patient portal. You keep any treatment you've already paid for, and you can pause a plan for one to 12 months at a time. If you're new to GLP-1s, the one-month plan is the low-risk way in.
Each molecule comes as a weekly injection or a daily dissolving tablet at the same price, $189 a month for the tirzepatide tablet. A separate microdose plan lets you pick semaglutide or tirzepatide, shot or tablet, at one lower price, and your provider makes the final call on which. PlexusDx also offers an optional genetic test as an add-on after your first month. You don't need it to start.
Care comes from Lone Star Virtual Health, an independent clinician group PlexusDx names in its terms. The intake is online, with a phone or video visit if your state or history calls for one. Your card isn't charged until a prescription goes to the pharmacy, and you owe nothing if you're not approved. Orders ship from a US 503A compounding pharmacy, but PlexusDx doesn't name it, and it doesn't publish a list of the states it serves. The compounded tirzepatide lineup sorts PlexusDx with other programs by Healthspan Score, and what compounded semaglutide costs lays out the semaglutide math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like
Start the online visit
Pick a program and answer the intake questions, including your GLP-1 history, height and weight.
A clinician reviews it
A US-licensed clinician from Lone Star Virtual Health reviews your answers and prescribes if it's appropriate, by phone or video where required.
Your card is charged
You pay only once the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. If you aren't approved, you owe nothing.
A 503A pharmacy ships
A US 503A compounding pharmacy prepares the order and ships it in three to five business days, with dose changes handled by your provider.
Who prescribes, and the pharmacy
Clinicians from Lone Star Virtual Health, an independent network of US-licensed clinicians that PlexusDx names in its terms, review the online intake and prescribe if appropriate, with a phone or video visit when your state or history requires one. PlexusDx says a licensed US 503A compounding pharmacy prepares and ships each order, but its terms, privacy policy and FAQ don't name that pharmacy.
Where PlexusDx does well
- The monthly price stays the same as your dose rises, on every plan length.
- One price covers the provider, prescription, medication and shipping, with no membership fee.
- Every plan length and its up-front total is printed on each product page.
- Your card is charged only once a prescription goes to the pharmacy. No approval means you owe nothing.

What to check first

- PlexusDx says a licensed 503A pharmacy fills its orders. Ask the care team which one fills yours before you start.
- No list of states served is published. Confirm your state with PlexusDx before you start the intake.

Questions about PlexusDx
- How much does PlexusDx cost a month?
- On the one-month plan, compounded tirzepatide is $189 a month and compounded semaglutide $149, with the provider, medication and shipping included. Three-, six- and 12-month plans cost less per month but are charged up front.
- Does the price go up with my dose?
- No. PlexusDx says your monthly price doesn't change as your dose changes, and that holds on every plan length.
- What happens when a 12-month plan ends?
- It renews for another 12 months at the same price unless you cancel future renewals in the patient portal first. Canceling doesn't refund a prepaid plan, but you keep the treatment you've paid for.
- Can I get a refund from PlexusDx?
- Before approval you can withdraw and owe nothing. After approval, it refunds in full if the prescription hasn't reached the pharmacy yet. After that there's no refund for a change of mind, though it refunds an order that doesn't ship within 10 business days.
- Does PlexusDx offer GLP-1 tablets?
- Yes. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide each come as a daily dissolving tablet at the same price as the injection. Your provider decides which form suits you.

Tirzepatide is a weekly injection that acts on two hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1, to lower blood sugar and appetite. Eli Lilly sells it as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and as Zepbound for weight management and obstructive sleep apnea. In its main obesity trial, people on the top dose lost 20.9% of body weight in 72 weeks.
